Though they didn't have what I needed, the store manager made some calls and took care of me through other shops in town. He was very helpful even though technicaly I wasn't his client.
I highly appreciate that.

To make a long story short: I was on a bicycle trip from Canada to Argentina. I was stuck in Tuxtla (early 2017) with cracks in a rim. At the Giant shop I ordered a new rim. They lied to me several times: "1 week more", "a few days more", "monday or tuesday", "package is already in the city". After 2.5 weeks I figured out, that they never ordered my rim. They kept on lying. Finally I went to the Trek bicycle shop in town and got (a different) rim changed over night. I told this story several international cyclists. Everybody said "This is Mexico". I diagree. I crossed complete Mexico and had no bad experiences in other (non Giant) bicycle shops.
