Junto con los museos del Paisaje de José María Velasco y del Retrato de Felipe Santiago Gutiérrez, conforman el Corredor de la Plástica Mexiquense. Cuenta con diversas obras que exponen la trayectoria del artista nacido en Cuautitlán, Estado de México.

Se creó en el año de 1992 y cuenta con 7 salas de exposición. No cuenta con adaptaciones para personas con discapacidad, tampoco con estacionamiento, sin embargo hay uno muy cerca al recinto.

No se permiten fotografías con flash, tampoco el ingreso con bolsas o mochilas ni alimentos o bebidas.
