This review is based on my last couple of visits. I feel like the quality has been deteriorating a bit. This time around the oysters didn’t taste very fresh. The Mac and cheese was delicious though. We asked for the side to be taken off of the steak, which they didn’t do until after they brought the plate and we asked for it again. The steak was good but nothing special. It had agregar atmosphere and service is usually good, but I felt the food was lacking.

What a wonderful experience. The service was attentive and elegant. The vibes were high end, but friendly. The food far exceeded expectations and was just a pleasure experiencing. Drinks were great too!

My review is based off on my last trip in TJ and going to Oryx.

Come on guys, you have to get your method straight. The first time I went to Oryx was on April 2021. And the pictures you see are from April 2021.

The food is amazing, wonderful servers, and the most flavorful food I’ve tried.

However, my wife and our friends went to Oryx on May 22, 2021. It’s really a shame to be giving them this starts. Specially the fact that it took over 45 min to get our appetizers and another 1hr for our main entrees. Our main entrees were not garnished like they were the first time we went in April. Very disappointing because it just seemed as if the cooks gave up mid service and deicida to just give us what they wanted.

The servers are still amazing and wanted to correct the mistakes. But after waiting 1:45 hours for our food, I don’t think it was worth waiting any longer.

Other tables had been waiting and no food going out. Just a disaster in the kitchen. Then we get told “well you shouldn’t come saturdays because it’s always busy, you should come on mondays”. This is why there is a reservation list that shows the amount of people coming in. Be better staffed and prepared.

When we first ordered the server came back 20 minutes later saying they were out of what we ordered and if we wanted another item. So they were just not prepared to handle the amount of people coming back again.

Please get your kitchen staff straight and have a better method.

The food here is beyond delicious. We tried the sweet potato fries, the octopus and the rib eye chicharron. Service is also fantastic. They have a nice variety of wine and a long list of specialty made cocktails.

I like this spot because it's comfortable yet fancy at the same time. Food is good, nice cuts of meats and good choice of beers and a bit of mixology.
