Food heaven. The jugo de maracuya was bomb.

Update (11/21/21): This time the service was horrible. We found a hair in one of our plates and they left the stem on the huauzontle. They took their time giving us our check and even our change. Their cooks had a party in the kitchen so it seemed like they weren't taking their job seriously ????.

Small eatery. The food is excellent.
Price is right. The service very friendly. Authentic Oaxacan food.

Chiles de nogada is a seasonal dish but at Mercado Hidlago you can find it year around. The only difference is the pomegranate seeds those are seasonal but everything else is excellent. It is a small hole in the wall that os very busy. Enjoy.

I enjoy coming here every time I'm in Tijuana, not only for the queso Oaxaca but also they have a restaurant and love the food

Their food is DELICIOUS!
It's fresh made. The place is clean and the staff is amazing. They are vegetarian and vegan friendly. They will answer any questions you have and will cater to your needs to their best ability. It's cozy and CLEAN.
I always go there when I go to Tijuana. Their grocery items are fresh and delicious. If you can only go to 1 place when you visit Mercado Hidalgo, make it this one.
