Wonderful service, affordable, quiet, clean, and secure. This is the first time I stay at a hotel in Tijuana that I thoroughly enjoyed. I’ve stayed at other hotels before, but nothing has compared to this hotel. There are only a few rooms- I think this is what makes the quality of the customer service you receive so good. Despite its smallness, it has spacious, well designed, and comfortable rooms. One of my favorite parts of the room were that they did not have carpet and had an AC you could control. Also, the bathroom was super nice. Clean, roomy, and a nice design. Expedia rates this place as a 3.5 star hotel, but I’d say it’s more of a 4 star hotel. Lastly, the cafe on the first floor has a nice variety of drinks from ordinary hot coffee to lavender lemonade. I could go on and on about this place, I highly recommend it.

The good: Friendly staff, spacious and clean room, comfortable bed. AC was effective. Within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions. Area felt safe. Great price.
(note that the 5th floor is no longer a restaurant; it is now a beauty salon, but there is a small cafe in the lobby)

The bad: Traffic noise was pretty noticeable in our room on the street-side of the building, but it varied by time of day of course. Also the door to the room isn't massively sound resistant, so we could often hear sound from the hallways and lobby; not sure how much others could hear us. The wifi was fine on our personal devices, but we couldn't connect our phones to the tv to use streaming services, and using the tv's built-in Netflix app was unreliable with significant buffering and the connection sometimes dropping entirely.

Despite these things I'd still stay here again and it was a great stay overall.

My favorite. Extremely affordable, clean updated, in center of TJ, great service. Did i say very very affordable. Bang for your buck.forsure.

Super clean, very friendly and helpful staff printed out my INM paperwork for me, beautiful bathrooms (!!) and comfortable rooms. Teléfonica is right around the corner for going out at night. I only stayed 1 night and it was lovely. LGBTQ friendly. I also liked how the staff is concerned about safety and closes the door after 9pm to only allow booked guests entry to the building. The street at night can be dark so I ubered back to a warm welcome. Pues el precio esta un poco alto pero vale la pena si no tengas tiempo de buscar una alternativa y necesitas reservar algo rápidamente.

Fantastic experience. Alou was clean, modern, and comfortable. Wonderful customer service from everyone, including reception, security, and the coffee bar. Great location - walkable to Avenida Revolución, Mercado Miguel Hidalgo, and Tacos el Franc. We will definitely book again on our next visit! Thanks Alou

I love this hotel, the rooms are very modern and fancy at the same time, Nevertheless, the beds and pillows are actually comfortable not like most affordable hotels I stayed in before. The have a really good coffee shop at the entrance, and they bring it to your room!! and the RESTAURANT UPSTAIRS!! OMG it’s AMAZIIIIING!! I am extremely hard to please when it comes to food so yeah. Customer service is excellent and it’s just all around a great little hotel to stay at!
