I always stop at Toyama when visiting Tampico. The imaginative Mexican spin on traditional Japanese food is always refreshing and interesting to a visitor to the region. The fish quality is outstanding and far beyond what I can get in many places at this price point. The service is quick and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The food itself is more balanced towards the Mexican palate. That is what makes this place so interesting. The citrus forward rolls and use of chile are really delicious and take traditional dishes in new directions. I think the tempura could be crisper, but the Tampico roll and butter fish pieces really stand out.

Been here twice and enjoyed the food very much both times. Also the prices are very reasonable for the good food and good service. I'll be back again.

Do not think too much about it, just really good and get a small boat with a starter... really nice and fresh

Excellent food. The rolls are all only $5-7 USD a f will fill you up. I highly recommend.

Best sushi place in town. Everything fresh and with amazing taste and presentaron. Looks like gourmet food

Nice and cozy I use to go to another sushi place but after the first time here, I didn't go anywhere else...
