Awesome trailhead at 13000 ft. Nice place to sleep some to acclimatize to the high altitude before embarking on a hike up to the shelter and or beyond to the peak.

It's a beautiful and peaceful place to get together with your family or friends while you have a nice picnic enjoying of the such an awesome scenery if Iztaccihuatl

Really good place to have some mexican typical food, camp and take wonderful photos. Have to mention that there's no proper way to go to the bathroom, so have to be familiar with cat holes and nature

A beautiful piece of life. Just beautiful everything. Take a tall car or truck/suv with a spare tire the road is harsh. Anticipate weather you can get stupid hot or stupid cold so do check because based on that you'll either have a great or hard time. People are nice everything is peaceful. There's a campsite wich is nice and tickey is like 100-200 pesos per person wich is honestly cheap for maintenance. There's nothing to eat or drink so take supplies. If you're considering going just go you won't regreat it.
