While this hotel had some good qualities, nice staff, good restaurant, nice room, pool. The negative unfortunately ca not be overlooked. This hotel has no room security. They provided guest the same master key that opened any room. So anybody could get into anybody’s room. We found this out as many of us were there for a wedding and had a key mix up. The hotel was aware and basically did not see it as a problem or attempt to fix the issue. The room also had a sewer smell at times and the pool had a major bee Infestation. For these reasons I would never recommend staying there.

I really wanted to love this hotel because there is a lot to love, but there are some really really concerning CONS...please BEWARE before you stay...

PROs: The hotel is absolutely stunning. The rooms are clean (although ours - a junior suite - had a funny smell). The front desk seems to know English well. The restaurant was great and had wonderfully accommodating staff.

CONS: the biggest issue - and it isa BIG one - is security. They seem to give everyone a master key. Ours opened EVERY room on the first floor (we discovered this when we got mixed up). The front desk did not seem bothered by this...they said there was security at the front so it should be ok. We were there for a wedding so we knew a lot of guests, but this hardly made us feel secure. Guests feeling safe is price of admission. And this hotel not only failed on this front but seemed baffled as to why it would be a problem for us. It is clear they have a system problem that they are not properly addressing. Many of our group decided to check out early and move hotels.

Also - there was a massive bee problem with hundreds of them buzzing around the hot tub. They did not seem concerned by this and indicated no intention to have the bees properly moved or dealt with. It was relatively cool temps, so the bee problem did not appear to be the result of extremely hot temps luring the bees to get a drink. The have a big pest problem on their hands...because I have an allergy to bee stings, I had to avoid sitting by the beautiful pool - so that was a really big bummer.

Huge security issue - every key opens every guest room in the hotel. The front desk staff didn’t care and acted as if this was normal.

Do not stay here! We discovered that every key card opens every room. The worst of it: the hotel knows the problem and they didn’t fix it. Again, every key opens every room.

We went to eat today. My husband and I sat down at a table near a window. And...we waited...and waited...and...waited. Not a single soul went to our table. Not a greeting, not a glass of water. Nothing.
After almost 10 minutes we decided to leave. Awful service.
Well, really, NO service.

Nice hotel, but no wifi in the rooms is a deal breaker. They said they had wifi, but after arriving, I found that it didn't work and hotel staff said it was broken, but they were trying to fix it, but they didn't know if it would be fixed in weeks or years. Restaurant was just OK. Staff was very friendly. Won't stay again due to no wifi in the rooms.

Excellent service, staff always friendly and helpful.
Beautiful rooms and great spa experience.
Try the wine and cheese platter while being in the jacuzzi at the top terrace.
