The staff were excellent and the lobby was interesting (how many hotel lobbies display a restored car?), but the charm ended there. The room was clean but the decor was sparse, dimly lit and unpleasant (they really need to replace the rugs and spruce up the rooms).
The hotel is located in an industrial corridor immediately off an insanely busy multi lane highway that has busy service roads on both sides, so traffic noise and poor air quality are inescapable (no fault of the hotel, but something to be aware of). If traffic noise bothers you, bring earplugs.
The huge shopping mall (Antea) has almost everything, but better to drive or take a taxi/Uber/Didi than an unpleasant 20 minute walk. It’s quite some distance to anything else.
Personally, next time I’d either spend the night in charming Centro, or if just passing through the city, at the Marriott beside Antea (and slightly removed from the highway) or the Candlewood in Juriqilla which is much quieter and a block or two from good restaurants, small shops, and a small pleasant park - and a short taxi ride to some superb restaurants in other areas of Juriqilla.
So, my thanks to the excellent staff, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
