Booked a tour here to the Sumidero canyon. Payed 400 pesos per person, and got picked up at our hotel at 9.20am, and returned in san cristobal at 17.30. Was a perfect tour including boat ride, 3 viewpoints and including the national park entrance fee.

We did the tour to Sima de los Cottoras u0026 the Aguacero Waterfalls. Both destinations were wonderful and definitely worth the visit, however Nichim tours should really improve their communication and that's why we don't recommend them. Examples:
- We were told they would pick us up at our hotel between 6.00am and 6.30am. At 4.35am, they came knocking at our hotel door because there was a van full of people waiting for us, we had 5 minutes to get down. All in Spanish and no patience to talk slowly while we had a hard time understanding. The other people on the tour were told the correct pick up time.
- We first went by the office, asked for information, and they gave us a business card with contact information - they especially pointed out the phone number for WhatsApp messages. However, when we sent them a WhatsApp message, we saw they had read it but didn't respond even after repeating our question after a full (regular week) day of waiting. When we went to the office the next day the woman said "oh you sent us a WhatsApp message" but she didn't elaborate on why she had not responded
- when we asked in advance whether we would have enough time for the activities at the Sima the Los Cotorras, the lady said we would have plenty of time and that the driver would wait until we had finished the activity we chose. But on the tour, the driver told us to be back in 2,5 hours, which wasn't nearly enough for breakfast and the long activity we'd wished to do. Therefore we chose another, shorter activity. We ended up being late anyway, together with the rest of our tour group, but I regret I could not tho the full rappel u0026 via ferrata!
- just for information, they almost don't speak any English

We went there because they were recommended by Lonely planet, but after arranging a tour it turned out the tour was run by a different firm regardless (and turned out to be average). They may organise specialised tours themselves but make sure you check who you will be going with.

I booked a 10 day tour for 12 friends to the Mexican state of Chiapas with NICHIM TOURS. Every aspect of the tour was fantastic. During the planning phase, Nichim was very responsive to my questions and made great suggestions about other sites to see along the way. We were picked up at the Villahermosa airport by our guide, Fabio and driver Darinel. They both turned out to be superb assets to the trip. Darinel is a very safe and attentive driver and a friendly guy. Fabio has been guiding for nearly 30 years and is well-versed in Mayan culture and archaeology. In the first few days, we visited Palenque, Misol-Ha and Roberto Barrios waterfalls, Bonampak, Las Golondrinas waterfall and Yachilán.Then we headed west and south to see Toniná, Comitán and Amatenango del Valle, We arrived in San Cristóbal de las Casas on December 11 during the celebration of the Virgin de Guadalupe. We visited the native villages of Zinacantán and San Juan Chamula and ended our visit with a trip in Sumidero Canyon and a visit to Chiapa de Corzo. Our trip included all entrance fees, nice hotels and all breakfasts and lunches. I can’t say enough about the professionalism and quality of the tour. It was excellent!

We took the 3-day jungle tour with Nichim Tours on December 31st 2018. The first day (to Agua Azul, Misol-Ha and the Palenque ruins) was great. We were on time the entire day and the driver was very professional. The second day was also good, although I got food poisoning from the lunch (as did several others from my group, who were all vomitting by day 3). The third day was a complete loss: we took the third day for the jungle walk, which turned out to end at 12:30pm and we had to leave our rooms by 1:30pm, and the bus only came to bring us back to Palenque at 6:30pm (though they had told us to be ready for 5pm, so we waited more than one hour), so we had nowhere to go and nothing to do the entire afternoon, just so the company could save on transportation costs (we had to wait until the bus full of new tourists arrived to be brought back to Palenque). A first bus came at 6pm, but the driver refused to pick our group up, saying we were not in the list, although there were spaces. The second bus arrived at 6:30pm and did not have enough seats to bring all of us (we were 10, he only had 8 seats). In addition, the buses did not have seat belts and the drivers were going very fast, and 2 people in the group had no seats, so sat on the stairs on in between seats, for the 3+ hour drive along a windy roads. We contacted Nichim about the unacceptable third day, without getting any response. I do not recommend taking the tour with this company - the service was poor, the food caused food poisoning (note: more than half of my group was from Mexico and still got food poisoning), the third day was wasted, the buses were very cramped, the tires were worn down, and the seats belts didn't work. Very dangerous.

I had a group of 5 and we priced out 3 other places, trying to get 5 different tours 1 for each day. Prices were all similar between the places but Nichim stood out by giving us a discount with multiple tours when paying with credit card however we got another discount by paying in cash/pesos.

Magda helped us and gave us great info about the tours, we had a good idea of what to expect and tours were great. Some drivers where better than other but think tours were a great option to see a lot in a short time.

Tours we took:
-Lagos u0026 Chiflon
-Agua Azul, Misolha, Palenque
-Sumerdero Canon u0026 Miradores u0026 Chiapa
-Grutas de Rancho Nuevo, Arcotete (no discount but best price around u0026 my fav)
-San Juan Chamula, Zinacantal

Booked a tour from San Cristobal to Palenque visiting Agua Azul and Misol ha in-between. The tour was great and felt we got to see exactly what was described without being in a rush. We used a Mercedes sprinter multi seater for the tour that seemed to be adequately maintained. The tour guide was Spanish speaking and provided useful information and tips to make the tour more enjoyable. Would recommend the company.
