Nice place to stop by and buy souvenirs AND food at the same time. The food vendors are on the second floor and the first floor consists of vendors. You're able to find so many items you don't need but want. The prices are good and they'll bargin with you if you're truly interested in an item. They have fans running in their individual shops and it's not too hot inside. Super awesome place!

Pepe's tacos. Probably our favorite taco place. This is where we first had pork taco right off of the spit. You can't miss this place. It's right across from the Shell gas station. Very flavorful and only cost $20 pesos

The market has a variety of souvenirs and food. I would like to comment about the food. We ate at Don Toño restaurant. The food was very good, fish was fresh and tasty, seafood soup was delicious and the chilaquiles were good. If you want something local and true to PV, this is the place that you are looking for.

I love this flea market. We go to PV at least twice a year and this is one of our first stops when in downtown. The vendors have decent prices and a wide selection of souvenirs to choose from. It was sad to see that the Rio Cuale flooded them during the recent hurricane but they will recover.

Sadly I have to report that the Mercado is being torn down because of hurricane Nora. The building became to unstable after the Rio Cuale ran through it when it went over it banks. The poor vendors lost everything. I have no idea how these people will recover. Update to this review, after further review of the buildings understructure and foundation that had been effected by the force of the river. The engineers and government have now decided to repair the building to save the historical building. Great news for the owners of all the stores!

I visited here in 2019 and absolutely loved it. I could not wait to get back in 2022. Unfortunately, it changed significantly over the pandemic, and when I returned, although it was lively and colorful as before, the souvenirs were generally just like all the other markets along the riverfront. The artisanal element had disappeared, and the shopping was basically just touristy, which I did not want. T-shirts, keychains, mugs, etc. The items were no longer a bargain. I was very disappointed with the experience in general this year. I could not find a local market in town that compared to this lovely market in 2019. There must be one, but, sadly, I couldn't find it. If you're looking for souvenirs in general, you will find plenty there and all around it.
