Everything we ordered was sooooo delicious! The mussels were out of this world amazing, cooked to perfection and accompanied by a sauce that had us licking the plate! The fish, garlic bread, and margaritas were really tasty too! The owners and staff were kind and thoughtful and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back for more ????

We visited Melissa's for dinner while vacationing in Puerto Vallarta. It was a fantastic choice! We enjoyed margaritas, fantastic guacamole, and a whole red snapper that was simply amazing. It's a small intimate setting with great service. I would recommend reservations and bringing your appetite ????

My wife an I wanted to support the smaller restaurants in PV. As we know times have been tough with Covid all about survival.
We started with the half avocado with shrimp that was a perfect size for the two of us.
I had the 3 seasoned shrimp...fabulous..my wife had the garlic pan fried medium shrimp. Both dishes were amazing....the margaritas were equally as good as the food. The service was excellent. Well worth going in and trying it out....we only have a few days left on this vacation and just might have to go back one more time!!

I was excited to try this restaurant given its 4.8 rating and seeming to be out of the most touristy areas. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The guacamole was good and the meals we had were both decent, but nothing all that special. I had the three kinds of shrimp which were all good, however, they were served with a tiny portion of rice and what I can only assume were frozen vegetables. My partner's seafood plate was similar, with frozen vegetables. The margarita was also weak compared to others I've had in PV. Service was friendly and quick but I won't be back.

Definitely recommend!!! A nice, quaint, casual, unpretentious restaurant with a homey vibe. I enjoyed the grilled Octopus, with Olive Oil, garlic, onions and a hint of chili. It was accompanied by rice and mix veggies. It was fantastic and the perfect portion size. They initially served hard tortialla chips with an olive oil/chili/garlic dipping sauce as well as a mayo and 4 veggie dipping sauce. The Margarita was standard. Service was very good and the waiter was bilingual and very polite and cheery. I'll definitely return.

Melissa's is one of the best kept secrets in Puerto Vallarta! It's a quaint family-owned restaurant hidden away on a side street. They have been in business for 16 years and get better every time we go. They have the best Portuguese shrimp I've ever tasted! They also have amazing mango margaritas! If you haven't been here take the time to make the trip. I promise it will be worth it!
