All-Inclusive store for locals and cook-your-own meal vacationers.
We do our (set kitchen up)shop for 2 week stay the first day and drop in regularly throughout for cold beer and fresh produce. Lots of fresh pre-made items and fresh seafood. I would say Food Safe practices appear as stringent as any outlet in Canada.

The largest supermarket in the Marina Vallarta area is very convenient. Carries a reasonable selection of food, domestic products, clothing, hardware etc. Prices are OK but not always clearly displayed.

Big grocery store with drug store and clothes, beach stuff too.

This is my neighborhood grocery store. I go three or four times a week. It is clean and well stocked. They have everything from liquor and beer/wine to tires and appliances. The staff is helpful but speaks limited English. Right before Christmas they had a great sale on large kitchen appliances. I bought a refrigerator for my condo in Plaza Marina there for 25% off. The whole transaction from paying for it to having it delivered upstairs took less than a half hour. Try to get that service stateside.

Clean well organized, it has a great deal of the things we look for in a grocery store.
However it falls short when it comes to the things us Americans and Canadians are accustomed to.
Fruits and vegetables are not always the best. For the basics in a pinch yeah.
