A local friend recommended this place to us, as having some of the best ice cream in Puerto Vallarta. He was right! We tried a couple of flavors and settled on peach, peanut, and lemon cream (there were three of us). Everything was great: the flavor, the consistency, the cones... And the prices are good too! Definitely on our list for future visits.

Best ice cream ever! Flavors are unusual mix of ingredients - in my cranberry flavor there were toasted nuts, cranberries, pumpkin seeds and orange peel. Coffee in affogato was amazing too!

Lovely little gelato bar with alfresco terrace, tucked away in a hidden food court right by the beach . Loved the choice in vegan flavours and the very gentle service!

I have lived in Mexico for nearly 12 years. Until I found JALato, the best gelato I had found in Mexico was in Tepic, Nayarit, where I lived for 7 years. JALato completely blows away the competition, both local and national. Located in the Zona Romántica just 1/2 block from the Playa Los Muertos and the Los Muertos Pier, you will find a great selection of flavors. Some may find it hard to decide which one(s) to select, so my advice is select one or two, then come back every day of your stay in town and try something different. You won't be disappointed. Service is amazing and prices are reasonable.

For the dog days of summer this place is the BEST! Their vegan coconut and pumpkin seed gelatos are so delicious!
