Very cute little hotel. A bit outdated but was almost perfect for us. Amazing view - absolutely stunning. Chico was super nice to us. The beach is very pleasant and beautiful. The jacuzzi in the balcony is a brilliant touch - the only downside was the noise and smells from the restaurant below. That said - it was quite and smells free during the critical hours (at night and early morning). We had fun!

The best beach close to the city. The waves are small and water is clear. It’s really close to downtown, so you can go there on foot or by bike. I would prefer mismaloya better but this is closest.

A very special place. Even with eyes closed the ambiance is wonderful - palms fronds rustling in the breeze, birds bleating in the trees, waves breaking on the rocks, live music electrifying weekend nights.. oh, and the aromas from the restaurants above and below. I just wanted that sliding door open any time we were in the room! The view from our balcony was hard to beat! Los Arcos and the Mountains trimming the blue horizon to the south and more mountains and city lights as far as you could see to the north. Some palms and banyan trees sway and shiver in front of the water and rocks out front - boats pass day and night. The vista is framed by tiled roofs and cupolas up and down the hillsides around. An exotic mix of nature and architecture. Truth is it could've been a dump of a room and I could have looked past that but the room was very nice! The beds were comfortable, there were pretty tiles on the wall and in the bathroom, there was a reading lamp, it was clean, there was air conditioning and television. The wifi was weak and we could've used more towels and a bedspread but for a family of four to be comfortable in one room with two double beds is remarkable! There was even a little fridge and gas burners and dishes but I had no desire to cook on vacation - especially with two restaurants a couple flights of stairs away! We LOVED the restaurant on the beach, by the way, and it was so nice to be served under our palapa during the day. We never had to leave the sand to get a drink or lunch! The beach at the hotel was small but felt large enough for everyone there - even on Sunday when local families came to spend the day. There were three openings I the rocks for swimming and the snorkeling was good- we saw many fish and even an eel. My youngest son delighted in the tide pools on the rocks - each its own world of sea life. The front desk attendants were so helpful- getting us cabs and arranging covide testing right there in the beautiful open air lobby. In just a few minutes we could be whisked into to the romantic zone for five dollars or less. As far as the kids perspective, they honestly preferred the large timeshare resort we had stayed at the week prior because of the sprawling pools and grounds, the gym, the larger room and mostly because there were people their age with whom to play, but my husband and I definitely fell harder in love with Conchas Chinas. We were confused upon arrival because of the name change to Marboka but some googling and asking around in the cab landed us at this wonderful destination. Warning - if you aren't fit for stair climbing this place is probably not for you. We can't wait to return!

Loved everyone and everything! Our views were amazing, being right on a secluded beach was what I wanted! Great service with 2 restaurants on the property. Lounge chair and beach towel service. You can snorkel right from this beach too.
My girls and I loved it and felt so safe and relaxed.

Last October my family and I stayed in the presidential suite which had wonderful view and outdoor areas. The suite is ok, it is a bit dated and requires a bit of love and care. On our last night we were abruptly woken up by someone how was intoxicated, yelling and swinging a chain , we let the front desk know. They told us the police were on their way, hours later he was still going crazy. My family was unable to rest that night and the front desk person never let us know it was taken care of as asked. Since we didn't get sleep we missed our atv excursion the following morning. We were told that they would talk t.the owner about refunding our last night, but instead received an email offering one free night. I responded that we would not be returning and that a partial refund for the night would be much more appropriate. No response from them at all. Puerto Vallarta is fairly safe but they totally lack security for their guests here. ????

Playa Conchas Chinas has a beautiful beachfront restaurant called Lindo Mar accessible by Barra de Navidad (Highway 200) or by pathway along the rocky coastline south of Playa de los Muertos (a walk of 20-30 minutes approximately). Good food as well as drinks with prices on the moderate side of your budget, but great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great views of Banderas Bay. Be sure to try a Mexican favourite of beer (preferably Corona) over a glass of cold ice cubes with lime and a pinch of salt....very refreshing. Jacinto, he was the front desk, concierge, bell boy, he was the most attentive, only helpful person on the hotel. He gave us great ideas were to go eat, because of him our stay was very comfortable and nice. Housekeeper was very nice and clean. Overall the hotel did not have an elevator, no Restaurant, appliances were not working, Air conditioner was leaking water and the mattress the WORST. I spoke with "decorator" she said mattress was 6 mos. old. Named brand names, they were the hardest worst mattress ever!! I woke up with back, head and neck aches. I explained to her the problem, no solution or option was given, very rude. Unless they have an elevator, proper room service and better mattress, I will be ok. Management make sure Jacinto gets his KUDOS!!
