We had SO much fun at Hostel Vallarta and I highly recommend a stay. Volunteers are friendly, helpful and everyone at the Hostel Vallarta was like a family during our 8 night stay. We made many friends.
Rooftop pancake and coffee breakfast is included in the cost of the stay. Additional breakfast items are at an additional cost when available. Some volunteers (Shana) will even cook traditional Jamaican jerk chicken and fish dinners which was an amazing treat for a very affordable price.
Be ready to have fun at Hostel Vallarta. Our first night upon arrival we were invited to a rooftop birthday party. As you can imagine, the tequila and fun was flowing very smoothly until 4am! Thankfully, we were on vacation and could sleep in as long as we needed to.
We stayed in Cafe Tacuba room which has AC and a King bed. However, the street noise while staying in Cafe Tacuba was not for the faint of heart. The shades in our room left a gap on the left side that allowed the street light outside the room to pierce right through the room at night directly into the eyes of the person sleeping on the left side of the bed. Valuables can be locked in an overhead closet if needed. Laundry service is available for a very affordable price.
Security is good and a room card key is required for entry into the locked gated lobby from street access. Security cameras are installed in all common areas for the security of everyone. We felt very safe staying at Hostel Vallarta.
We met SO many cool explorers from around the World while staying at Hostel Vallarta. This place has a special vibe. Malecon and playa access is only a few blocks away en el Centro which makes this a very desirable place to stay.
The beautiful and colorful artwork throughout the facility represents the culture, history and fabric of Mexico.
