Amazing stay! From the moment we checked in, the service was impeccable. We got an early check-in because our room was ready to go, everything was tidy and functioning. Perfect for a couple - deluxe renovated king bed room.
The hotel itself was gorgeous, the bars were all on point, quick to take your order and deliver. The restaurants were all great, sometimes service at the buffet was slow but nothing to complain about. You have to make daily reservations for the restaurants on site, if you’re lucky you get to enjoy the sunset!
Thursday night they hosted an outdoors dinner on the beach and it was amazing!! Best night we had.
Only con was that The pool did get a bit crowded with kids and since it’s not that big you have to either wake up early and claim a spot or watch when guests leave like a hawk.

Other than that, everything was great. Room service was awesome, and such an easy walk into town!! We walked over twice, along the beach.

Highly recommend for an Intimate getaway that embodies casual fun u0026 local feels. I will return with my boyfriend for sure!!!

This hotel is nowhere near being Grand or have special moments. The food was absolutely terrible and to pay for a week of it was awful. The steak was boiled, the Chicken sphere had an alfalfa germ sauce that was bitter, you couldn't eat it. We had to switch rooms 3 times and it began with the wrong rooms being given, then switched to a room with no AC and lastly our final room was right next to the open air construction rooms so if you wanted to take a nap, you needed ear plugs. The pool are small and over crowded and to find a place to lounge found impossible. The front desk staff didn't explain anything to us regarding the protocol of the establishment, like needing reservations for the nicer restaurant. Every front desk staff I experienced was rude and irritated with my requests. (No Ac and construction) on the 3rd night I finally broke down with the guest services and they tried to accommodate us as best as they could. Offered free earplugs and a massage. I'll never go back. Eduardo at the bell desk was the only person who went above and beyond to help me. He needs a promotion!!

Up until our last day I was going to give this hotel 5 stars, but the poor planning of the event manager really annoyed all the guests. They kicked all the guests out of the big pool at 17:00 and invited us to go to the small one. Imagine a full house at the small pool. All was triggered because they decided to make a Mexican night with tables by the pool and stands and make a big fair out of it.

Unfortunately not everyone wants to sacrifice 3 hours of fun and chill by the pool in favor of a short dinner at an inconvenient time.

Small other details I was going to ignore are the parking location as it is not very clear and obvious- there should be some signs to indicate where it is.

And the other is the lack of quality alcohol at the bars. I’m not much of a drinker but I do appreciate the difference between Beefeater and some generic brand of gyn.

Other than that, the hotel is nice. Good food, the rooms are renovated and accommodating, the staff is fantastic and extremely polite and pleasant.

It’s also close to the peer and it’s at a great location. The beach is good although the sea floor is quite rocky.

I probably will come back to this hotel, but keep one thing in mind about their Mexican nights.

I have no clue how this place has the rating it has. The hotel is not much bigger then a Boutique hotel, the food is terrible, and they use the cheapest drink mix. I got fish at their “seafood” restaurant and it tasted fishy and old. Their blended drinks are chunky, the service is slow or non existent on the beach, and the rooms are so small. My room faces an ally where people were rolling carts down until 3am from that nights event. You are better off staying in a beach front condo and eating local. It’s all inclusive and I rather go pay for the street food. The singer was great last night though.

We love this hotel. I am a Canadian expat (or should I say immigrant), local now 14 years living here and been here and done that...I've done most of the hotels in the Bay, whether on day passes or for a night or two. We come here often for the day pass. I take my daughter here on Sundays usually and we love it because it's an intimate little hotel, the staff is very attentive and the location is hard to beat. The rooms are quite small and the food could be better, but for hotels in this price-range it's to be expected. Some of the reviews I read on here are very ungenerous and honestly and honestly for this price you can't expect more; if you want to eat lobster tails and prime steak then you have to pay about double per night. Be fair guys when posting on here OK? 1 out of 5 is not fair.

Family of 4 with two kids 4 and 6 years old. PROS: The grounds are beautiful. Multiple pools, including a kid pool and an adult-only area. Great eating options with delicious food. Everyone is very kind and accomodating. Family-friendly atmosphere. Great activities/parties. CONS: The rooms are dank, small, and old. I hope they do some renovating - this is a huge issue!! It made our stay much less comfortable and we actually left early for a better room at a different hotel. The beach is quite rocky, though our kids loved throwing rocks in the water so it wasn't so bad. The drinks are so-so.

Booked two rooms with ocean view, but we did not get them! They say the overbooked! So we had to wait and moved on our second vacation day,
But they were only partial ocean view rooms!

We traveled with our 80 yrs old mother, she wanted to feel the ocean water with her feet, so we took one of the plastic chairs that they have in the beach, and an employee from "Buenaventura Grand Hotel u0026 Great Moments" angry with life, told us to move back the chair! we told her the reason, but she did not care!

I was going to put it back!

Food was excellent, and hotel has a great location! But the service "thumbs down"

They need some improvements!
