Very good place to eat, it's not a nice and expensive restaurant, so be aware.
The traffic was awful (we stayed in a hotel one block from the main plaza), so the best option is to take a taxi or uber.
There are a lot of small restaurants in like a closed plaza, the most of them sells the same dishes, common from Puebla, tortas de cemita, mole, and the most typical, chiles en nogada. We tried restaurat Lupita, the food was delicious and a very reasonable price. The bad experience I had was that the person who's trying to convince us to eat with them gave me a price for the meal (chile en nogada, incuding soup and flavored water) for $150 pesos, and when he charged me, after I finish eating, the price changed to $200 pesos. I argued with a lady, I guess the owner, and I told her that I'm just going to pay the original price I was told, so I did. So, make sure you agree with the price before you order.
In general, very good and recommended place to eat in Puebla.

Went there for breakfast in search of the famous Cemita. This market hosts tens of local vendors offering a great variety of food. We are at Cemitas Alex and we got an awesome Cemita with coffee and Hibiscus water for less than $5 . Great Mercado to eat clean , high quality and low price food

Just visited this weekend with my wife. I must say , its not all cracked up like most reviews say.
The place itself was not clean at all, very dirty floors and tables were not even cleaned. I was shocked to see many pigeons inside. Bothering customers while they eat. Well the place were we went and sat down, immediately asked us to leave there area if weren't eating anything. I was shocked to find out I wasnt able to sit anywhere I want . Anyways, me and my wife were really hungry ,so we just ordered cemitas . But beforehand I asked the price and was also a shocked to find out they were 90 pesos each. Also, I couldn't enjoy my lunch becuase, many homeless people and kids were asking for money and it just was not an enjoyable experience at all.

Hated everything about this places. Food and place didn’t look sanitary at all. Very dirty, no one even washes their hand or wears glove before using their hands to serve food. Everyone walks behind you to sell their food and don’t leave you alone even for a minute. Overall I got sick from the food. And food was not tasty AT ALL. Very bland, yuck. I love street food but this was just BAD!

Absolutely delicious, you will find a lot of food stalls, thousands of dishes, food prices and very tasty.
Variety of gastronomic will be the main attractions here.
Just come with your kids or just you.
There are tables to eat.
The prices are really cheap.
Semitas the best dish of the world.
I love it.
