Even when the good and caring service is on and off I still like this place very much.

The atmosphere, music, the selection of of dishes is just fabulous for lunch, dinner or just to stop by for a drink.

I love the tiles in the floor and the colorful details all around. The hostess is just nice and welcoming. I highly recommend you the “Tlayuda” in any of its presentations, just delicious and if you have the opportunity they also have specials on weekends, I loved the tacos special day ????????

My friends and I visited this place because one of my friends said he wanted to eat soup. It was a bummer first to find out the restaurant changed their menu from today on September 2nd and there was no more soups but OMG everything we ordered, food and drinks, was excellent!!! My friends and I highly recommend this restaurant.
I am not usually impressed with cocktails but WOW the bartender was THE BEST at making cocktails tailered to my taste after explained her what I was looking for. BINGO! Bosque plus her own mix tailored to my taste was so excellent that I had to order another one right after finishing the first one!
I don't drink beer but the friends who had beers said they were good and recommend. They ordered multiple beers.
So the Octopus Tacos. Ohhh Eeeem Geeee, I first ordered it then tacos de pulpo was so good that two other friends also ordered.
Other friend ordered Tlayuda de pescado zarandeado. Presentation of every plate was to perfection and tasted to perfection. So I also ordered.
We will definitely go back to the restaurant.

My favorite restaurant and food in all of Puebla. The services was phenomenal. The bartender Daniela was not only friendly, kind, and knowledgeable, but she makes the best drinks in town! We ended up ordering one of each from the menu!! ???? Elliott, the waiter was an amazing conversationalist as was the other waiter whose name is escaping my mind. We had the mole, the chalupas, and the octopus entrées and they were all delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant is very traditionally Mexican but mixed with modern, chic hipster vibes.

We also met the head chef who introduced herself and apologized for having run out of octopus and offered the crab as an alternative. The presentation of the food, the explanation of where the dishes originated from, and the culinary pedigree of the dishes is truly unbeatable. The food was as authentically Mexican as it gets. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Puebla and recommending this place to friends who visit.

Afterwards, we we’re craving churros and one of the staff members, Elliott, offered to walk us to a local churro joint so we wouldn’t get lost late at night. This was truly one of the best culinary experiences we’ve had in Mexico. Thank you Elliott, Daniela, the head chef and everyone at Maíz Prieto. Mil gracias!!

Excellent experience! Great staff and service. Cocktails were a bit too sweet. Cute decor. Loved sitting at the little balcony table.
