This is the worst place to stay the manager tried to rip me off and charge me three nights after I had already canceled he also lied to me about the cancellation policies and it was obvious that he was trying to take advantage of the fact that I'm a tourist. The place is old. The place is run down there's no air conditioning no elevators everything is old there's no towels in the room and overall I feel cheated. I do not recommend anyone stay here and if I could put zero Stars I would.

Excellent location near the attractive university buildings, the weekend flea markets, and easily walkable to the Zócalo and Museo Amparo. Interesting rooms in an historic building. The suites that have windows and balconies facing the street are spacious and have a view of tall leafy trees. Best rooms are on the second and third floors- fairly steep stone stairs. Not deluxe but definitely a great place to stay.

I booked a stay with this Hotel through Airbnb back in January. Due to the protests in the country, we were running behind on our road trip. I contacted the Joel days before arrival to request a change in the reservation and unlike most hotels who gladly adjust your reservation at no charge or at the charge for one night if the request is being made late, this Hotel decided they would keep all the monies charged by Airbnb and not change my reservation. Traveler be ware. Thank you.

Amazing. Next time I will stay for at least 10 days. This hotel is perfect and full of old charm and helped me fall in love with Puebla. Room was cozy and warm in november which is great considering it's age and high ceilings, I woke up feeling like I was in a palace :). The ONLY thing I would add is robes and better towels....and if a room with a tub was available I would book it again and again..hah. Also...I booked through hotels.com and they should add all room options to the site so you know which room you are actually booking, it's made to look like you are getting the Porifriana suite when in reality you are probably not...so do your homework before booking...not a bad room in the place though I don't think as I poked ny head in the few that where unoccupied...really special place...again...charmed!!!

+ Great location close to everything Puebla has to offer.
+ Huge, attractive rooms with authentic elements and a nice bed
+ Good breakfast with sweet and savoury items.
+ Friendly and helpful staff. The reception employee did his very best to help me buy bus tickets (for over half an hour).
- However, in spite of his efforts some of the information about our bus journey to Oaxaca proved incorrect. (With just an (unpaid) reservation you DO have to be at the terminal two hours before departure).
- The taxi the hotel called for us did not show up (or was not called at all), due to which we missed our bus

Very nice ambiance, poor attention to detail in the rooms and bathrooms. Perfect location with great restaurants nearby, the park, the artisans, etc, right nearby. The price can't be beat for the suites.

Good location. Service is OK. Most of the rooms are not in the main floor and they don't have an elevator. Water was cold to take a shower
