THE GOOD.
The location was good and the hotel was new so it was clean. The staff were very friendly too so we were expecting it to be a good hotel. We were even offered the choice of room.
THE BAD.
No internet. We were told the internet was not working before we arrived but the photos and price looked good so we decided that we could live without internet for a couple of nights. If you decide to stay at this hotel make sure it is working if you need it for work.
The room was very badly designed. We had a choice of a "large" deluxe room with a bath but NO WINDOW or a tiny room with a shower and a window. We chose the room with the bath because the guy said it was working. Bad mistake. The water worked yes, but the faucet was not positioned correctly when it was installed so lots of the water spilled on to the floor. Worse, there was no hot water. No one is going to sit in a bath filled with cold water!
The room was too dark without a window and noisy because it was next the front desk area.
There were no towels, no water bottles, and no soap or shampoo. We had to ask for everything that you'd normally expect at any hotel, let alone a "botique" hotel.
We paid for two nights when we arrive but we had some really bad family news and had to drive back to Mexico City just a couple of hours after checking in. We expected we would get a refund for at least the second night but no, they would not give it.
Finally, they said give us the factura but they didn't email it to us. We phoned them the following week and they again promised to send it. But no, apparently they were too lazy to send it so we gave up.
As always, the real test of how good a hotel is is whether we would stay there again. In this case ABSOLUTELY NOT. We would not stay there again and nor would we recommend it to any of our family or friends.
We stay at a lot of hotels around Mexico and our experiences with this one make it one of the WORST! Our advice, look for a better option.
