Holiday Inn Puebla Finsa, an IHG Hotel

We were driving though the area on the way from Yucatan to San Miguel de Allende and decided on this hotel to spend the night.

Our room was decent although quite dated - fortunately the bed was comfortable and the large screen TV had a few channels in English. One confusing thing is that for the lights and a/c to work in the room you need to put our key card into a holder on the wall - I guess this is a way to make sure that guests don't leave things on when away from the room but it were no signs or explanation when we checked in

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was good but a little pricey. The breakfast buffet was terrible - including things such as scrambled eggs with hot dogs

Hotel reservations are always wrong, again three reservations my company had, were delivered differently (we booked three bedrooms with king size and mountain view, we received two queen beds per bedroom with no mountain view), two of the reservations appeared in their system but didn't had a room booked for them. It's always the same, with this hotel. I strongly recommend visitors that if they expect to receive what they booked for, then stay in another hotel nearby. Breakfast food was OK, staff service was also alright and very nice; because of this points is why I give them two stars but to be honest I'm not going to book here my company's reservations again.

Excellent and professional service.
Since beginning to end everything was perfect.
Rooms are spacious and very comfortable.
Underground parking lot and valet parking available.
Great restaurant.
Also great sanitary measures.

Even I had a great view. Definitely coming back.

On the plus side was the clean and large room. On the negative side were the location, the food in the restaurant and the gym.

Have stayed here many times. Pros - everything is always clean, staff is always attentive to your needs, food is consistently great. Cons - Could use softer bed and towels, food service can be on the slow side when have more than 2 people dinning. Do not always get small wash towels in room, need more than 1 ashtray if you are a smoker. Overall great place to stay, love the separate room in main lobby where you have drink service and smoking is allowed. Starbucks and small shop service and quality outstanding!!

I've stayed at this Hotel three times and I really enjoyed each time. The room is big, the staff is friendly, the facilities are great and the food is very good. Perfect view of the Volcano from my room (Traveler tip, if you want a quieter room, always book a room with the Volcano view).
Overall a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone, for both Business or leisure.

the hotel was pleasant although it was more of a business oriented hotel than it was a leisure hotel as they had many meetings throughout the day. the staff was attentive, and the service was great. However the location was not ideal as many taxi drivers were confused upon finding the entrance and the view of the hotel from the bedroom looks out onto the highways instead of the volcanoes.
