I had an amazing stay with this hotel. When I first arrived I was greeted by a delightful gentleman. I was also assisted by Ms. Gina who was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was patient and very kind. ???? Both fluent and very delightful. My accommodations where matched in every way, exempt ice and bottle of water service. That I wish would have been included, but the super market Aki was 2 minutes away which was extremely convenient. The breakfast was quaint and delicious, I just wish they had some sort of meat options included with the breakfast. The location was awesome, close to 5th Ave. But not effected by the rowdy noise. Its not thatttttt far from the beach, but its also not thattttt close. My room attendant, Mr. Justin did a FABULOUS job attending to my room. Superb job! The staff assisted with taxi transportation also! The room was amazingly simple and elegant. A lamp/desk and living room table would have made the living area just perfect, but nonetheless it was an amazing room. Perfect size. I am a solo traveler so safety is my TOP priority. I felt extremely safe, and the 24/7 security was an added bonus. I will be staying here again.

The best customer service I've had in an AirBnB. I recommend to stay here. I will for sure stay here next time I come back to Playa del Carmen. The hotel is a few minutes from 5th Ave. The stuff is incredible. They were able to accommodate us last minute.

The hotel was very nice. It put me in mind of a W in America. The room was very clean! The location is ok. It is very close to the beach and shopping. The ambiance, however, was not so good. I was awakened by barking dogs and loud crying from what sounded like puppies. This was quite different after coming from the jungle of Belize. There was a lot of construction going on to near by buildings when we got there. So the streets were not so clean. Also, parking was very limited. Over all, the hotel itself is really nice. It has a fully equipped kitchen, the price was very economical and it was pretty up to date. I would definitely stay here again. Raul checked us in and was extremely nice. He showed us the property and made some wonderful suggestions!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotelito, and the fact we were so close to the center and the beach! The kitchen was equipped with everything needed and I felt right at home :)

Breakfast was in another hotel about 1km away, also they didn’t tell me about the environmental tax and tried to charge me in check out (I didn’t have any cash and thought it was possibly a scam).

It seems like the tax is real but they should include it in the price or at least tell every guest before booking (I booked through Airbnb and not telling guests about the tax is against the rules as far as I can tell).

After booking on Airbnb they didn’t have my reservation when I arrived, because the central office was closed, so I had to forward them the email. I wouldn’t book again because this company seems to be poorly organized due to the issue with Airbnb bookings and tax collection.

The hotel is clean and nice however.
