It's sad that people give 1-Star Reviews for silly purposes, as it affects what people think of the Doctor and the quality of his work -- that is what is important here. The fact that the phone isn't answered, and it's not said in the review at what hour, could simply be an after-hours or perhaps the girl stepped to the bathroom? If it is truly an emergency why not go to the hospital and not just call a doctor on the phone?

To review Arthros properly -- Dr. Azael is a great doctor -- very skilled and professional. He is extremely responsive when I have a question, frequently answering emails within minutes but always within a day. He performed surgery on my foot and was very clear each step of the way. He speaks very good English (thankfully as my Spanish has a long way to go) and made us feel comfortable with the procedure as well as our first exposure to the Mexican Healthcare/Hospital system.

I would highly recommend him and already have sent a few friends his direction.

I just tried to make an appointment and they just responded "no" when I asked if they speak English. There is no website or email or even a whatsapp to try and make an appointment. I have no idea how all these English speakers are making appointments when the front desk rudely responds "no" with no further assistance.

We cannot recommend Dr. Azael Calderon enough as an Orthopedist and Traumatologist in Playa del Carmen. Our daughter was in a bad bicycle accident in which she severely damaged her foot and ankle. We received good care at the Red Cross Playa del Carmen emergency room and at the radiology clinic immediately following the accident. We were unsure what to do next and started asking for referrals from our daughters’ school and from friends. The physicians we asked for referrals from all recommended Dr. Calderon as the best and only Orthopedist in Playa del Carmen they would personally visit.

We immediately contacted Dr. Calderon’s office to schedule an appointment and they got us in right away. He immediately put our minds at ease, he took the time to make our daughter comfortable, and he spent as much time as we needed to ask questions. Dr. Calderon helped us through the care and cleaning of the wound by showing us step by step. Later, when our daughter was ready, he helped us through the physical therapy exercises she needed in order to get her walking again. Dr. Calderon cared for our daughter for 6 weeks and she is now walking, running, attending school like any other child. Dr. Calderon speaks English, which helped us as we feel much more comfortable with English than Spanish.

I found Dr. Calderon to be caring, honest, and knowledgeable. He diagnosed my knee pain exactly the same as a highly rated (and expensive) ortho Dr. I went to in Newport Beach, California. I got in to see him the same day I went, and thank goodness he speaks English...because my knee was killing me. He is very conservative, trying the least invasive method first to resolve the problem. I definitely recommend him to anyone with knee issues!

The prices were very affordable. The doctor u0026 his staff were very knowledgeable u0026 friendly. The care they provided was very personable u0026 professional. I highly recommend them!

I saw Dr. Omar Garcia today for a foot injury. I highly recommend them. I was able to get an appt. and xray the same day. Every one was very professional and gave me great care.

Hubby had a torn muscle shoulder area and took care of it quickly
