Very tasty and cheap vegetarian restaurant.
Visited one lunch time and had the set menu but the vegan option. As a veggie place they are aware of what vegan means (no cheese/dairy or egg contrary to what some omnivorous places think) so were able to adapt the menu for me. Unfortunately this meant I couldn’t have the dessert but it still worked out a bargain for a decently filling lunch ($65).
Would recommend stopping in for lunch if you’re in Oaxaca!

Amazing restaurant with exceptional variety vegetarian food. Ticks all the boxes with excellent quality, presentation, freshness, taste and fair price. Visited the place two days in a row and Trigo Verde still packs quite a punch up it's sleeve.

Been in Mexico for almost a month thus far; and this has been among the best finds as far as vegetarian restaurants and overall restaurants are concerned.

A big thumps up! 5 stars for a reason!

This was one of my go to spots during my trip to Oaxaca. The menu is extensive, princes are good, and waitstaff are friendly. I especially appreciated their soy meat tacos. They are also conveniently located between el centro and Mercado de abastos.

nice place with menu del día
very nice option for vegatarians
the only thing is I would add some more spices. some of the dishes seemed bland (e.g. pasta in lunch menu)

Trigo Verde is a really good vegetarian restaurant, I was very happy to have found it during my stay in Oaxaca as it is a real relief to be able to order without having to worry that I might have accidentally ordered meat. The space is really cool, the staff was very nice (they always stayed patient although it must be a real torture listening to me trying to order in Spanish), they've got a changing special of the day and prices are very good throughout. I have been vegetarian for 23 years and the vegetarian burger I had here might have been the best I've ever had, not trying to replicate meat but just working with the natural flavours of a meat-free diet. Highly recommend!
