The Hotel Santa Helena Plaza is a delightful looking hotel of the usual fort type.

The fort hotel is designed like a fort in the old west of the United States to protect those within from those without. Access to the hotel is controlled. And at night you can park within where thieves and others will have a much harder time reaching your car. Thus these hotels are much like motels. Your car is a guest just as you are.

Clean, good sized hotel in town within walking distance to town plaza. Nice large in ground pool. Friendly helpful staff... note: Spanish only!! Basic room but a big step up from the last place we stayed here...

Very nice, clean, easy walk to the Zocalo (ten minutes). Very firm mattress. You can leave laundry at the desk and they will have a local laundry wash and fold it for about 190 pesos ($10 US).

Nice and spacious bedrooms with balcony, free WiFi, pool and good service! Super recommended!

Clean. Instant hot water. Water pressue fair. I was only there for one night but it was very comfortable. The only reason I give 4 stars not 5 is because, as usual in every hotel in Mexico, starting around 5am the doors are banging and people are talking in the hallway and and and...I have yet to find a hotel where I can continue sleeping beyond 5 or 6 am.
Two queensize beds. Medium flat screen tv. Cablevision ???? Balcony with nice view from 2nd floor. All good. $890.°° pesos.
Right in the center of town. Close to all amenities.

Great location in in the center of Oaxaca pool is cold, but the days are hot kinda balances out

I loved staying here. Super affordable and close to downtown. Rooms are very clean and the staff are always helpful.
