We and our friends unanimously voted this the best place for lunch in Oaxaca. It's overlooking the market so a great spot. The waiters are always very attentive and remember our orders from before. And we have never had better botanas.

Recommend the giant tortas and the comida corrida menu is one of the best around.

Edit: prices have gone up, portions down. Small beer now 38 pesos. Ample botanas, pero way demasiado for a simple beer without entertainment, especially if you don't want the snacks. Lost a star in my book. Corporate management may have made it more profitable, but it's noticeably less popular with customers, all of which, except me, are not gringos.

There's nothing special about this place, I just like it. Prices are reasonable and the food is good for bar fare. My major complaint is that they don't show major sporting events on the TVs unless it's México playing soccer. Perhaps they don't have that cable package.
