Casa del Sotano was a wonderful place to spend a week in Oaxaca. The rooms were spotless, great atmosphere. The room on the courtyard was better than the one with a single window facing the corridor. It is extremely great value, even at this price which represented a bit of a treat for our family. Incredible wifi, good ac, water pressure and temperature are a 10/10. TV features netflix and Prime. Good cleaning every day. The owner/manager was very helpful in recommending a lavanderia, calling a taxi, etc.
Finally the restaurant was fantastic for breakfast. I recommend this hotel without a hesitation.

My wife and I had a great time staying here for 6 nights. The staff made sure we were always taken care of and answered any questions we had about getting around town. To the people complaining about noise, Is that a joke? You’re staying in a city center. Of course you will hear a little noise (a car driving by) every now and then but its not bad AT ALL. I actually found it very quiet at night and slept incredible. We highly recommend this hotel. It’s safe, clean, close to everything, and very welcoming. Plus, look at that view from the top. Enjoy!

Nice hotel less than 10 minute walk from the center. Clean rooms with good beds. Lovely breakfast staff in particular. Note that there is no on-site parking so you will need to walk 3-4 blocks to park in a public parking area, it costs $15-20 per day.

Really nice hotel just blocks from the center square. Friendly staff, comfortable and reasonably priced rooms.

I'm still at hotel until tomorrow. It's a wonderful place. I will return next month..
Just wish I could get dinner delivered or in -house restaurant opened for evening meal...wonderful staff and very beautiful property. Love the pillows.

Be careful. They do not offer any refund for cancellation under any circumstances. Do to unforeseen event, we tried to cancel our reservation several months in advance and were still charged full prices. Haven't had this happen with any other Oaxaca hotel.
