The hotel was very well located and the room were perfect for the price. The staff was also very helpful! The only downside was that the water pressure in the shower was sometimes off / the toilet didn’t have water.

I do not recommend. Hotel Casona Oaxaca is scammers. I made a reservation on a popular booking site. The hotel didn't want to respect the reservation. They rejected my two cards, given to guarantee payment, three times. Both cards are valid and have appropriate funds secured. I gave them the Revolut card and the PKO BP credit card (the largest bank in Poland). The bank's customer service also confirmed that there were no attempts made by hotel to charge the card. Nobody who books a room with them can feel comfortable that they will be able to sleep in Hotel Casona Oaxaca. May be ripped off by the hotel at any time. Which is confirmed by comments from other people who were also ripped off and their reservations was canceled for no reason.

The hotel had one of the greatest locations, just a block and a half from downtown. It's a beautiful place with such nice customer service, the only thing is that they don't have too many different options for breakfast, but you're also 2 blocks from 2 of the most important markets of Oaxaca, so you'll be fine. I will definitely come back

I had a horrible experience with this hotel . We booked a room more than a month before our arrival. They got cancelled us only 2 days before our arrival in Oaxaca and offered us a room in a less favorable hotel instead! When we asked for justification, they said they overbooked their room 5x.
We called their reception and they were not able to speak in English and asked us to call the day after. They told us they have available rooms and our booking is fine. Then again through website they reached out and told us that there is no availability.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. We couldn't use our reservation two years ago (due to the pandemic) but the hotel honored our booking at no additional cost ... VERY much appreciated.
