Our worst experience in Mexico. We were assured we could rent the casa amarilla for 6 months from January, we offered to pay the deposit but were told there was no need as it will be saved for us. We booked accomodation in Oaxaca up until January, only to be told that they had given the casa amarilla to someone else who gave them a 'better offer'. They clearly don't understand common decency or respect and do not honour their word, as apparently 'business is business'. They have wasted a great deal of our time and money. I would not recommend staying here.

It's about 10 minutes walking to the zócalo. But, I actually liked this area more where the hostel is and the Santo Domingo church area.
