Great place in a very 'local' market a bit outside Oaxaca center. The food is delicious and the staff is very nice. It is really nice stop for breakfast or lunch during the visit of this market.

Easy with children.

We enjoyed the corn and vegetable soup and chilaquilles with egg! The market was quiet at the time so we could simply focus on the food! The soup came with a lovely cheesy taco, but overall there could have been more seasoning to all the dishes and more flavour.

I have mixed feelings about this place. It was highly recommended so maybe my expectations were high, but it was a very mediocre chilaquiles with a pretty blah chorizo. I don't know. I wouldn't go back.

Delicious chilaquiles!! Would highly recommend. Also enjoyed the chorizo empanadas. The local market was a treat.

Best chocolata I had the entire trip, get it with water.

The empanadas were really bland, I'd like to try something else.

Local restaurant with proper seating in a local market. Occasionally, the band will play some music which makes the ambience nice and lively. Serves oaxacan cuisine which importantly must include mole, tlayuda and hot chocolate. Try the normal mole as well as mole roja. Mole roja, the red spicy mole, is better. Hot chocolate was made with water (instead of milk) and tasted good. There is also a wide selection of bread to go with the drinks or mole.

Best breakfast in Mexico! Prices are really cheap and everything was delicious. Our serve was very nice and helped with great suggestions from the menu based on what we were feeling. Got the enfrijoldas with egg and chicken and potato empanadas. The coffee was also really good.
