This is a great place for breakfast in Oaxaca Centro. Service is fast, efficient and personal. We came once and when we went back a few days later, the waiter not only recognized us and greeted us but he also remember details about our food options. So, service is exceptional.

I had "huevos al gusto" which were pretty great. They came with a black bean refrito and a tortilla with red sauce. The red sauce was not great. The rest was pretty good.

We didn't order chocolate but watched the waiter preparing it for the table next to ours. Next time we go (before leaving Oaxaca), we'll have that chocolate.

Noise level is discreet and prices are very affordable.

Old school Oaxacan resto, with all the classics.
Ok, that might sound like I'm damning with faint praise, but I'm not - it's actually very good!
The menu has all the classics on it, all of it very very good, and they have a good selection of beer/mezcal to go with. In short, it's one of those places that you always keep in your pocket, ready to pull out when you can't make a decision...

Oh, I should mention, the hot-chocolate here is...*Stellar*. Get some!

Very disappointing since they don't have any English menù available and we couldn't find anyone explaining it to us... we ordered our dinner anyway (which btw was not so great).
But I guess they just didn't care about us.

The place and meals are really wonderful, however they must improve the service. Meals delays are excessive! The time we were there we must wait sitted around 20 minutes to be attended and around extra 30 minutes to receive our meals!
People are really wonderful and I want to be back!

Bright and lively. Live music. They will make your hot chocolate in front of you. You can watch them make the tortillas. Service was good. Food was tasty.

This place is delicious, with very large portions.

Try their cheese and meat dish in tomato sauce, unfortunately I don't remember the dish name. It's superb. As well as, their hot chocolate water!

I rarely put one star but honestly the food was awful and the service was a disaster. The waiter was super not helpful, would not understand anything (in Spanish) and was forgetting half the table orders. All the dishes we ordered (10 total) were all very dry and disappointing.
