You're right in the central of Monterey you won't need a car to get around to see all the great historic buildings in the central area of Monterey

It was such of disappointment, we pay up front and we were concerned we would not get our money back. Mattresses were super hard we asked for a different room, it was worse, the toilet was not flushing, the zinc needs it to work, no hot water, never never again, even if it was a free Worse hotel, I ever stayed in.

This is a first class hotel. Updated rooms and very friendly staff. The hotel is attached to the Macroplaza and the paseo for lots of shopping. The famous Sanborns is next door or breakfast at the hotel restaurant. It’s easy to run back to the hotel for a quick shower or nap. In the US, this type of hotel would be too expensive for me. We paid around $60 a night for two queen size beds and an ante-room with a pull-out sofa, bar, fridge, sink, and microwave. Ask for Mario or Jorge...they are awesome hosts! There is one woman sometimes at the desk who isn’t as friendly, but everyone else is. (Skip the Colonial Hotel next door. No one was ever at the desk, and the rooms don’t lock from the inside.)

Staff are the BEST! Good restaurant around the corner, Buchakas - great wait staff as well!
Very clean, friendly ... Highly recommend!
