Hotel Fundador

We spend the night at this hotel and it was not such a great experience. We were a bug group, 11 to be exact. We got 2 rooms. One which was great but the other one different story. The a/c never worked and they did nothing to get it fixed. The girl at the front desk kept giving us a look with an attitude I would of left that place but it was late and we did not felt safe in that area. Bottom line I highly suggest you find another hotel.

So, it's not as if this place is trying to be amazing but, really, it's a great location. If you're just looking to have a place for the night or if you're staying here having just arrived in Monterrey or something like that, this place is fine. Close to everything and very reasonably priced, this place is ideal of that's all your looking for.

If you're looking to be pampered and having something brilliant well then you're not looking for this specific place but, if all you need is your own space for a few days, staying here is definitely worth considering

This is an interesting historic hotel set in the old town. There is a charm about the place. They moved us from a dissapointing small room into a lovely large room. Staff over pleasant. I'd recommend it, but check out your room first.

We stayed 5 days and the wifi never worked , they left 2 small towels for us and ,I'm a pretty big guy,and the last nite the did not clean our room ohh and if tu pu want a remote control for the tv they needed a deposit of 100 $ pesos same for the ac

Only good quality is that it's cheap. Overall not great and built like a labyrinth. Also, there's a weird policy about leaving the room key at the front desk when you leave the hotel for any reason.

Great water pressure in room 102. Bed VERY firm. No counter space in bathroom. Old and worn but hey, for $35. Can't beat it!

The location is great! Near metro station, near macro plaza and at barrio antiguo. Rooms are pretty decent for price, and service is ok. If youre overnighting for good time at barrio this is a great option.
