Holiday Inn Monterrey Norte, an IHG Hotel

I travel for a living and exclusively stay at Holiday Inn due to this experience I may not ever stay at one again. Tried to extend my stay the staff member at the front desk said all was good and it was taken care of then I get a paper under my door saying I haven’t paid my bill they never asked for my card it is on file. The food in the restaurant has no taste and no flavor and you would think being Mexico flavor would be a big thing. Tried to go to the bar bar was obviously open but no one was around to tend the bar. Next time work brings me to Monterrey I definitely will not be staying here if I could give less than one star I would

I am.so surprised to have found a great Hotel here in this area ...the parking the safety of the hotel parking area it's great at night they only let people in if they are staying here or have made reservation and they veirify it before they let you inn did not have to worry about my belongings overall great service and lots of amenities...the breakfast bar in the morning great food excellent service if your coming through from the U.S.A and are tired I recommend to stay here as other hotels that I know from personal experience are not so great ..

Terrible service at the front desk. Couldn’t have any visitors and if they did allow you to have a visitor they charge you another $40! The holiday inn on parque fundidora is way more recommendable than this one!

This is my first time staying at a Hotel in Monterrey Mx, and I must say. It was excellent in every thing. The staff was excellent and the cleaning crew was superb . The parking area was great and so were the guards .

Unfortunately not good experience. Gave me the wrong room booked. Desk service bad. Room without tissues, no refrigerator.

This hotel is well located within a short drive of the steel mill industrial park and makes it easy to get to work. Along with a good choice for local restaurants and great breakfast offering, you won't go wrong with this location. Facilities are showing their age; a/c issues and door slamming due to excessive use but this seems to be average for this level of hotel. Overall the staff make it a great experience, the rooms are spacious and allow room for stretching out and in room workouts while the hotel gym is closed. There is a pool in the center of the courtyard, seems nice but was empty for cleaning and maintenance during my stay.

What the brochure says and what you receive when getting to your room may be different, and by then it is far to late. Staff will come up with excuse after excuse in order not to accommodate you. I do not expect this quality of service from this establishment. There are other substantial lower level Motels that provide equal type of customer service.
The difference here is, I thought I paid for a better customer service experience. I suppose I was wrong.
