It's my favorite restaurant in Monterrey. I can never get enough, fantastic stakes, really great service. Just beware... When a waiter offers you a salsa "molcajeteada"... It'll be charged even though the waiter doesn't warn you about it. Every time is a fantastic experience, and even better meal. Something that anyone who goes for the first time, don't be fooled, the amount of food in any order is massive! So make sure you leave enough room for dessert... The banana, butter pecan and cajeta pie is a MUST! ENJOY!

Excellent restaurant for a lovely Sunday lunch, food is delicious, we specially like the meat cuts and the house salad, and an empanada as an apetizer!! We never make it to dessert because of the generous portions to share that they serve!! Service is wonderful too, the kind you used to have in the good old times!! Very professional and at the same time very friendly!! My dad used to have lots of his business dinners in here, now we enjoy Sunday lunch with the family. Prices do reflect the quality of the experience you are getting, but in our case it is totally worth it!!! There is some self and valet parking available which is very nice because the restaurant gets full really fast!! We enjoy our visits a lot!!

Steak is very good but medium is not the same as in other countries, over here it is super rare. Also ordered the pizza but wouldn't recommend not very good for the price you could go somewhere like milk pizzeria much better, but I m rating just on the steak.

A definite favorite local restaurant... have an empanada first, then share a tasty salad and costaleta steak with fries, family style. Paired with the Malbec of your choice, this is a meal you are sure to enjoy. The service is amazing, as well. If you have a choice, ask for Sigifredo, he has been there forever and will go the extra mile to accommodate your needs.

Demasiado caro para lo que es. La carne se pidió termino medio y se nos entregó cruda por dentro. Pésima actitud del manager en ofrecer una solución viable para el restaurante y el comensal.

This restaurant is all looks, you are not going to get your moneys worth. Asked for a medium cooked steak and it was almost raw, it was only seared on the outside. Manager flat out refused to take responsibility for what happened and to offer a proper solution.

El Service Is superb. The ambient is nice. Definitely recommend the house salada, portions are huge for sharing. Very quick with the orders, ordered an arrachera and it was amazing. my family loves to come everytime we visit Monterrey.

El Gaucho is and has always been a staple in the city and you HAVE to try it if coming from out of the city. It never disappoints. Try the house avocado salad (small it’s good for 4) and the empanadas (beef it’s a safe option). If you like spice get the piquín and lime salsa and put it on everything lol. Beware that the beef orders are massive, to where a full order can feed 6. The mixology program it’s on par with any other high end place. I would love to see a bit more range on the Mexican wine list including BC options. On previous occasions service has been spot on but this time the speed of service and time standards where a bit lacking. 15 min wait for a drink order and another 15 for the check at the end with an empty restaurant at the start, back to basics boys!
