Xochimilco Ecological Park

This is one of the nicest parks in the city: large bike lanes, and spaces to walk, or host a birthday party or picnic. The channels offer home to various birds, and insects; and offer a nice, relaxing view. On Sunday’s there’s a small market inside with local merchants (food mostly).
There are a lot of open areas, so bring a hat and sunscreen.

It’s a very nice park just south of CDMX. I’d recommend it.

+No dogs
+ Restaured and nice
+ Unique ecosystem
+ Free
+ Free bathrooms
+Not to many sellers but if n the other side of the highway there is a commercial zone
+ High covid control, you need mask all time

• secure but some times very empty
•small parking lot
• they don't have rent of bicycles , boats or any service really

- far away from Mexico City center
- is just a park, if you like plants and nature is amazing , but is the only thing

Aug 2019. Don't waste your time not sure how it can go down so far in a few months. If you like birds they are still around and you can enter for free - I paid but got refunded after voicing my disappointment about (NOT) maintained trails.

Surprisingly fun day on the canals, even if there wasn’t much to do. Fun performers and food stalls on the boat

Impressive eco park to visit. You can rent bikes and do a small tour around the lakes, go on a chalupa and know a little about the beautiful Xochimilco!
