Great experience relaxing ride into the canals. Our guide had over 30 years of experience and was very knowledgeable. If you plan on going on a longer tour over one hr. take some food, snacks with you, or some drinks that can be purchased dock side prior to your tour. You can play music on the boat if you wish. We were a family of 6. We had all kinds of room to walk about the boat. They offer party toors as well, and the colorful signage on the boat can be customized to your families name with a minimum of 2 or 3 weeks' notice. Our guide explained that there is a location that can be rented for weddings and / or other milestone celebrations.

A must to do if you come to Mexico city.
You can have a ride from 1000 mxn 1hour to 2000 mxn 4hours per boat (known as trajineras). This price is paid per boat, and normally you share with other people (up to 16 persons per ride).

They offer different tours. You can chose the one that convient you the best according to the available time as well as what you want to see.

We loved our tour inside a trajineiras in Xochimilco. We get there with Uber just at Cuemanco, the one that seems to be more "ecological tour". We selected the option of 3 hours going inside the ecological park. It was so beautiful understand more about the canals, the agriculture, to see a lot of differents species of birds and to get know the ajolotes, the salamander from Mexico specific of Xochimilco. It was a beautiful tour. We totally recommend it.

Very nice place to take a little tour thru Xochimilco canal's over the Trajineras boat.
You can buy some food from the local stores and get it to the ride

Really fun experience, we had an Airbnb tour by María here with lots of mezcal. Floating Mariachi band was a hit.

One of the best traditions in Mexico City. Totally worth it! Make sure to bring a little speaker to play music, the ones they rent there are expensive and won’t work. Make sure to get Pulque drinks, delicious. Try the pitufo drink in the ajoloteario
