The Vasconcelos library is one of the largest in Mexico City and what makes it even more impressive is that it can hold up to 2 million books.

The library has several floors divided by two columns called west and east side, composed by building A, B and C, its architecture was built to resemble Noah's Ship and its surroundings would be the botanical garden like the sea.

The books have too many numbers like:
000 generalities
100 philosophy and psychology
200 religion
300 social sciences
400 languages
500 pure sciences
600 applied sciences
700 fine arts, youth, manga and comics
800 literature
900 history and geography

I really recommend visiting this bookstore because apart from books, there is a multimedia room where you can watch movies in the library or at home, there are baby rooms, sign language room, music room, braille room, children's room and digital library.

A beautifully constructed library with gorgeous architecture and many different categories of books. Also hosts many activities or children and adults.

Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

The library is a beautiful architectural feat. You can take pictures inside with your phone but need a permit for professional photography. You are free to walk up on all levels and even sit for a read or study! I enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the garden space which is thoughtfully maintained and designed as well. It makes a great stop in your visit to the city!

Architecture is mind-blowing. Only cell phone cameras are allowed for pictures. A must see even though it is out of the way from tourists attractions.

Just wow. Like out of a dream or movie. Stunning building, I really enjoyed it. Free entry. If you want to go to the book shelf, best to come without a backpack. Otherwise u have to deposit it.

Looks old, but nice, and the hours on google are wrong. Says they close at 7, we got there at 6 and the guard at the door told us they close in 10 minutes. Got to the second floor and the guard said we couldn't go further because they were closing.

Stunning modern library. Great if you're looking for a peaceful place to read, write, study or work. WiFi is reliable and open to all visitors. Free to use drinking fountains and clean toilets. All you can ask for in a library, really!
