Just look at the comments below - I whole heartedly agree after my experience today. This place is just money hungryyyyy. I purchased a pack on 5 classes in October and was specifically told the validity was for a year. I asked because I knew I’d be coming back throughout the year. Today I came in, and they told me they are only valid for a month and would not honor them.

Scammy, swindling thieves. And even at that they are WAYYYY overpriced. Go to the SmartFit down the street for $5 a day. Brand new equipment there and run by folks not out to scam ya!

terrible equipment - 1/3 of which is broken. you have to also wear a mask which is obscene

Pros:
* They open and close when they say they will
* The equipment is kept relatively clean
* Access to other sportsworlds, spa, sauna etc.

Cons:

*Obscenely expensive ($170US/3300 pesos a month) for what you get, this gym should cost maybe $50 a month.
*The air conditioning has been not functioning well here for nearly a year and they have done little to fix it.
*The staff and the managers are more concerned with protecting the staff and their own jobs rather then doing a good job.
*The trainers are unbelievably unprofessional, they don't show up when they say they will, when they train you they hardly pay attention, and when you want your money back they refuse to do so despite the fact its impossible to arrange a session with them.
*Filthy locker rooms where they have problems with people peeing in the sauna (seriously), and constant problems of theft including one time a jacket of mine was stolen. When you report stolen items they could care less.
*The training area is quite small and cramped, GYM 24 down the street has more machines and space for $25US a month.
*They frequently have problems with theft (rumor has it that it’s the staff that’s steals wouldn’t surprise me)
*The gym is super busy nearly 24/7 its almost impossible to workout there between 5-9pm.
*The guests that come are also rather rude and do not put the weights away, leave sweat everywhere, jump into your sets without asking
*They now close at 2pm on Sunday instead of 5pm.

Summary: Overall I'd recommend avoiding this place. Its true this place is rated 4.1 stars but the majority of those reviews were before this place went spectacularly downhill. I'd recommend checking SmartFit, QI Welness, Gym24 for a budget option and if you MUST choose sportsworld I highly recommen choosing the Roma location that is only about 500m from this one, but in my opinion all sportsworld as a brand is super priced. Trust me do not join this gym unless you want to pay $3300 pesos a month for a cramped, hot gym with little equipment and a very rude staff.

Go to smart fit or Energy fitness. A little farther from condesa but the reward of not having to interact with a staff of incompetent thieves definitely outweighs the walk.

First, the staff will promise you a rate and then shake you down to prepay months in advance before they double the monthly rate. They send emails offering a promotion and then to get it you have channel your inner Karen to actually use because the staff can’t offer what the email says.

Second, they steal. Keep your wallet and phone with you (Not in your locker) because the staff will use their master key and rob you while you’re working out.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Total waste of money.

Update: after months of asking them to return our property that THEIR EMPLOYEES stole, the charged us a fee for leaving late because we were trying to talk with them at the desk. I’ve never met a pack of worse people in my life. Walk up a flight of stairs before you waste money on these racketeers.

Clean space, lots of equipment, only problem they often run out of towels.

Didn't join this gym because it costs twice per month what my nice gym back in America costs. I did take a tour, and it's very nice and they have great classes (Les Mills) and nice clean spacious facilities but expect to pay around $250US per person per month!

Definitely a good gym for a city style 2nd floor establishment. A bit pricey but it gets the job done and it’s probably the best option to workout besides a studio.
