On this trip, I switched from La Ciudadela to San Juan. It is much less crowded and merchants go out of their way to be helpful. They are more flexible with their pricing and it is much more spacious. Altogether a more pleasant experience.

Compare prices before buying anything. For leather bags go to the second floor on the right hand side. Much smaller crowd than other markets but offers just as much variety.

The best experience I've had buying souvenirs but this stop is so much more than that. Wonderful people offering their craft and knowledge. Stopped with julio for some amazing silverwares and the rest of the storefronts were equally great. A must stop if your in CDMX.

Much better prices than in the streets. Clean, safe and calm market hall.

Precioso Mercado. Lo han remodelado y recien reabren. / beautiful market! It has been remodelated they are just reopening! Excelent place to look for a present or souvenirs.

Lovely market with very reasonable prices. Vendors are very friendly without being pushy.
