Beautiful cathedral! The outside is beautiful and the inside even more so. You can take pictures inside without a problem and can also pay $100 pesos to take the subterranean tour to see the crypt of the first archbishop of Mexico. Beautiful details everywhere and many parts made of gold. Visually impressive.

Plenty of good small rustic hotels located in the historic district. They don't have many amenities but the experience is priceless and there all within walking distance of the church. Need to be careful with some of the roof top restaurants. This time they were charging 100 pesos goes to go up per person. The plaza has plenty of vendors and Aztec dancers.

It is nice, but I felt the atmosphere was ruined by the big TV screens about COVID-19. We are all aware and there are guards inside to ensure nobody is breaking the rules. There is a side area that costs an extra few pesos and there is a guide to explain what you're looking at (in Spanish) and I would make sure to see that as well.

Very clean and quiet. Everyone is respectful.

Maybe I have just be to too many cathedrals just like this in other cities to be overly impressed. It wasn't bad or unimpressive by any means. I just wasn't blown away by anything in particular.

It is certainly worth a look in if you're in the area. I think if you want the most out of it and are really interested in the art/history, hire one of the guides outside. We didn't do that. It only took us about 15-20 minutes to walk though.

What can you say about this great beautiful church. It's a must see. You have a poison Jesus that people come to prey to help them with problems in the past. You have a sitting Jesus that people used to bring their offerings to the church. The organ music playing at certain times. The beautiful gold and detailed walls and holy place of worship. A must see while visiting Mexico City!

What a stunning place . Great architecture and views all around. Location is surrounded by museums and palaces. Full of activities all around it’s a must see attraction. Close to shops and restaurants. Conveniently located to bus and metro stations.

You gotta check this cathedral out when you’re in the area. It’s the best looking one I’ve seen in North America. It’s not that majestic on the inside compared to the ones in Spain but it’s still cool nonetheless

The Cathedral is stunning and visually impressive. There are numerous different chapels to explore. Strongly recommend paying the 20 pesos to visit the choir room, it contains amazing woodwork from the 1600s.
