Amazing place to visit if you are looking for home decor items, kitchen ware, t-shirts, trinkets, and souvenirs. Easy to navigate around, so I'd recommend looking around the whole place before you purchase. So many stalls have the same items at cheaper prices. Take pesos with you, but some stalls took Visa as an alternative. There was food stalls as well for a quick bite. Area is safe.

Great place to get gifts/souvenirs. A lot of the vendors sell the same stuff at different price points so walk around and get a gauge on the price range. Most (maybe all) vendors accept credit card, but they tend to offer a discount if you pay with pesos. You can also get a discount if you buy more items. The market has set hours, but some vendors open later/close earlier.

There’s a great ceramics spot in here with unique pieces and fair prices. She gave me a 10% discount for paying in cash but only after I asked.

A must visit for tourists looking to buy souvenirs. The market is beautiful, clean, and quite big. It’s also very accessible from major tourist attractions in Centro. Unlike similar markets in other world cities, I never felt like there was anyone hassling me to come to their store and buy stuff. Most stalls accept payments with debit/credit card.

Shopper’s paradise! I got everything I needed in one visit! The market is expansive and has numerous little shops that sell beautifully hand-crafted goods from across Mexico—pottery, embroidered textiles, woven straw goods, and much much more! Also, as a tourist, I found it conveniently located—a walkable distance from the historic center.

Had an amazing time here ~ came with a local and even tried the grasshopper and scorpion. “Yolo” ☺️

The hotel staff warned us the area was not safe, but I’m glad I took the chance to visit. I loved the market, and wandering the alleys. The place is clean, safe, well laid out and there is a lot to see and explore. Agreed it sells all touristy stuff, but it’s all in one place and I picked up a lot of lovely souvenirs.
