Food is top notch, restaurant could be great. I like the small menu, all dishes were consistently good. Prices were reasonable (particularly for wine). Service was good, although waiters sometimes needed to be reminded for items (i.e., water refill despite restaurant being less than a third full). You will not be disappointed ted if you come here, I feel it is particularly good for large groups given reasonable prices, but it is missing that something special to push it from good to great.

We had our family Christmas dinner there last night, I’m afraid to report that the quality of the food has dropped. The duck pâté was fair but not even close to the real thing. I had a squid tagliatelle, the pasta was over cooked and had no flavor. I ended up changing it to the onion soup, that was great! The meatball special was very good as well. However, we left the restaurant feeling we should have order bread, butter and wine and nothing else. Not a cheap place for what they offer ????

Very bad service, good food. Apparently the service depends on the waiters' mood. I had just arrived from New York and a friend, who is a long time client of this place, recommended it to me. So I went with my wife. For some reason the waiters were very rude from the beginning and even after we complained it didn't change. A few weeks later I went there with that friend and the waiters would literally lick his boots and make sure everything was perfect. Apparently they choose whom they want to serve... If they had better personnel, I would have rated them 4 stars for the food.

My first time in Mexico City and first impression. My bu0026b host pointed me in the direction of this neighborhood. I passed the Maison and doubled back to look at the menu. Deciding to try it out I had a seat. Several helpful waiters attended to me with very close yet mostly silent attention.

I chose an old French favorite, steak, béarnaise and fries.
I loved every bite. The steak was excellent quality and perfectly medium rare. The béarnaise was flavorful with tarragon and the fries light and crisp.

Dessert was cardamom creme brûlée and it too was exceptional.

Big congrats and kudos to this place and its impeccable food. The wait staff could lighten up a little, they were very serious. Although if I weren't alone and in conversation I could understand their quiet and distant attitude.

Simply put, this place is high quality for almost casual prices. The neighborhood it's in makes it the perfect stop after shopping around in all the cool boutiques. The complimentary fresh bread and mustard are the best I've ever had outside of maybe Europe. To top it off i ordered a duck appetizer, stuffed chicken breast, glass of wine, creme brulee and a soda for about $35 USD.
