We got there around 4pm and there was a really long line right outside the restaurant. We thought we would have to wait hours to get a table, but I think we only waited about 20-30 minutes.

The place is really crowded, and if you expect everyone here to be wearing a face mask, don't come. It's really incredibly loud; on the second floor where we ate, there were 2 music bands singing and playing their instruments right next to us. It was hard to have a nice conversation with the rest of my party.

But really, all of that is worth it. The birria is delicious! I ran out of broth and the waiter refilled my plate with warm broth without me needing to ask! The service is very quick.

We payed about $800 for 3 people. But take into account that we each ordered a plate of birria, so it was a lot! We had to take the leftovers home.

The food was very tasty, probably one of the best Mexican food we had in Mexico City. The music were a little bit too loud but other than that we enjoyed our food. Staff were nice as well

Fist time trying Birria! Delicious! Mariachi around to give a traditional atmosphere ! The service is great. They fill up your soup as many times as you want. Prices so affordable! Definitely coming back !!

What a atmosphere to eat some great food. The mariachi, the quick service and fun people watching, WOW. Yes it’s loud, yes it’s crowded, but that’s what makes La Polar awesome. That AND of course the Birria. Careful to make the mistake that we did and order a Birria plate for yourself unless you are up for a challenge, portions are HUGE. Great to get refills on the consomé as well. Prices are relatively high for CDMX but the experience is worth it, cien por ciento ????.

Excellent food, Mariachi bands are loud but festival. I have to say their Birria (tender cooked goat) is so good, I definitely coming back if I'm in MXC again.

After 80 years at this corner still one of the best places to eat birria and enjoy the best mariachi. I was here 30 years ago no much has been changed. Great place.
