I can get picky about Japanese food but this place filled us up, and that’s half the battle!

I could have given that extra star if they would have had half the items I ordered... Sadly, they seemed to be out of all the good stuff. I mean it was a Sunday night, but still. What we did get, they did well. Although some of the dishes were strange for a classy Japanese eatery... like potato salad, they were all tasty.

I can't actually remember the numerous dishes we ordered but I do remember feeling nicely full by the end. Nice service staff and cozy atmosphere.

The best sushi we’ve ever had. Their sushi not only taste great but also looks like art. Super high value. It’s even better than what we had in Tokyo. The dessert is also amazing. Highly recommend! We came back to this place multiple times during our visit in Mexico City.

I never thought I’d say I ate the best sushi of my life in México. Kura is such a nice Restaurant. All the dishes are so flavourful with lots of umami, the waiters are very friendly, the food. We came here two days in a row to try as much as we can from the menu and would def come again when in CDMX.

Buzzing atmosphere and busy restaurant. Important to get a reservation beforehand. We were lucky to find a table and called right before getting there to make sure we would get seated. The menu is HUGE with a lot of choices as well as pastries and drinks. The food was great and pricing was good for a Japanese restaurant in CDMX given the quality and the atmosphere really fun. The only thing was that the service from the waiters was a bit slow which is why I’m giving it 4 star. Overall, highly recommend

Delicious sushi and high quality fish. The tune toro is to die for. Get a sashimi of the day if you want different kinds of fish. Personally I think that deep fried onion is not the best topping for gentle fish, but you can just scrape it off. They have a funny tradition at the restaurant - they greet each customer yelling “welcome” in Japanese

I've been slowly making my way through this incredible menu each time I go! Sit by the sushi bar if you can to also enjoy watching how they prepare your meal. My favorite dish so far has been the traditional ramen, which is even better than most of the ramens I have tried in San Francisco and New York. That broth! I also love the spicy tuna roll and the gyoza, though honestly I have yet to try a bad dish here. The service is also outstanding.

Came here for Japanese bakery but it didn’t seem like they have them in stock.

We ordered the Vegetarian Ramen, Tofu Seiro Meshi, and Cheese Soufflé.

Vegetarian Ramen was quite solid and I’m glad there are a few vegetarian options at Kura.

Unfortunately, the Tofu Seiro Meshi wasn’t that good. Flavor was bland and the rice was undercooked.

Cheese Soufflé was smaller than expected, but the soufflé was nicely done.

Overall, service was great, but the food was just okay. Can be a hit or miss. Also didn’t really appreciate that the restaurant seemed to enforced a 10% minimum tip.
