Worth a visit here for the excellent cocktails. Make sure to sit upstairs at the izakaya bar for a less formal vibe than the downstairs. Flavors of drinks are related to the Japanese cuisine. We tried the Pikachu and Pac-Man.

You will be required to order food. They have sharable, snack-sized items like okonomiyaki and chapulin maki.

Thought it was only a cocktail bar but turns out it's also a restaurant, and let me tell you everything looked delicious!

We just went for drinks, and the mixology they have there is very nice. We all loved our drinks.

I want to come back to have dinner there!

Went here because of the top 50 in NA bars list. Massively disappointed.

Started out really well with two great drinks - the Pikachu and Godzilla. But after ordering the second round, one of the drinks was flavorless - Hatori Hanzo. Unfortunately, when we asked the server if we could replace it with another because it wasn't good - they said no because we had already taken a sip. Not sure how else you're supposed to figure out a drink isn't good, but the attitude and policy of the place ruined the meal.

Even after talking with the manager, there wasn't any apology - just an explanation of their policy. So unfortunately, even though the food was tasty and the original drinks were delicious - I'll never be back here. There are countless other bars in CDMX with phenomenal drinks AND service. No need to waste time on this one.

Came after reading about their bar program and was asked to leave because I wanted to drink and not eat dinner? Bar top was half empty along with the remainder of the restaurant. Shame to be published as a top bar in North America to turn patrons away.

This place is just amazing. Japanese bar for smalls groups. Drinks are thoroughly designed and prepared, food is so cozy and delicious (okonomiyaki and tokiyakis are literally the most delicious in the city, real close to the actual Japanese), and the staff is really friendly and kind. I’ve been coming to Kaito for like 2 years, and with every season there’s an update of the drinks and food, so you never really get bored of it.
