Excellent location. Room was clean. Entry in to the hotel controlled 24 hours for safety. It’s super cheap, not very fancy. Room are a bit like 2 stars to me, but I guess that they are 3 stars for in the Mexican standards.

The staff is polite and friendly. A very safe place for travellers. No guest are allowed beyond the foyer. Good WiFi . 13 min from airport.

Nice hotel. The hotel is very old in its design .The advantages are that the room is large, the location is central and the staff is nice, although it is a bit difficult to speak English, but you can get by. The rooms are clean. Change towels every day and make the up the room . There is a lift and a luggage storage room. There is a restaurant on site and a bar next door but they do not work all day. The disadvantages are that the bed is very hard and the hot water in the shower only after ten minutes of turning on the tap. the tap in the sink is small you can not wash hands. The shower is very old.

Excellent location. Room was clean and newly refurbished. Controlled entry 24 hours for safety. Easy walk to everything you'll want to visit in the historic center. Bus to the airport is just across the street!
However, there is one major thing that I didn't like: the bed was too hard.

In the city center, this hotel is worth every penny. With an amazing view of the city and the volcanoes, you can easily acces anything from here, even the airport. Bus and metro are a short walk away and the city center is amazing and full of history.

The beds are comfortable, and the rooms very spacious, the floors are woodden (no carpet, which some people find unhygenic). Compared to other hotel experiences, like IBIS, this hotel is a bargain!! the bathroom is well equipped, although they could better the shower courtain system.

The staff are kind and helpful. Nothing negative to say!!

I stayed in an aribnb next to the hotel last time I came to the city and it was way more expensive and half as comfortable.

On top of all, this hotel is family owned.

I think this place deserves a 5/5 rating!

I stayed at Hotel Isabel from November 27 to December 2 of 2020. I was in room 306. I paid 480 pesos per night, or about $24 when I used my debit card from a USA bank. This included a private bathroom, wifi, cable TV, and breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to noon, every day.

The cleaning was beyond anything I expected. My towels and bed sheets were changed every day and the room left spotless. And there was always someone cleaning in the lobby and hallways. Be aware that this is an older building with no air conditioning, but that wasn't an issue in November and December. There is plenty of hot water.

I will definitely return to this hotel next time I am in Mexico City.

I've stayed at this hotel six times. This time, I received an email from them offering free breakfasts. I bought a six night stay, and was expected the free breakfasts. However, the attached restaurant didn't even open until 9 am, so by then we were long gone so the offer was circumvented by not being open until late.

They also tried to charge me twice for the last night stay, which was annoying plus I found that I was overcharged for the room based on their rack rate... and they wouldn't adjust the rate!

For some reason, they no longer provided bottles of water in the rooms, you had to ask. That means if you didn't know better you'd drink from the faucet, which in Mexico is asking to become ill.

Don't bother with this place, it's falling apart!

Very old place, big rooms but it feels like a hospital room. And they're so annoying with their rules. You cannot invite someone over, nonsense for a hotel and didn't know prior our arrival
