Remarkably nice hotel in a transitioning area. The hotel seems to be a great example of modern 1970s Mexico--it must have been quite stylish in the day. It is still well-kept-up and clean; everything functioned really well in our cozy room, and the frontdesk, doorman, and cleaning staff were helpful (though monolingual). The rooftop pool is for lounging, with a marvelous grass area around it and a handy bar available for a drink. I attach a photo taken from the rooftop garden, and a photo of the modernist statues in the lobby. Strangely, there is a PrimeraPlus bus ticket office next to the lobby, though no bus actually stops here. Construction nearby promises new development, though several buildings in the neighborhood are abandoned. Easy walking access to a few museums and a longer walk to the historic center.
