Amazing hostel with brilliant staff. Definitely worth staying here if you’re looking for a place that is near the centre, has really good free breakfast and great conversation in English and Spanish. Really clean and good facilities for a hostel of its price in this nicer area. It really made my stay in Mexico City and I had plenty of people to do things with. Thanks so much!

Just to say again, breakfast/staff are brill.

The nicest beds I ever had in a hostel. Good breakfast. Lovely staff. The hostel is really small and that‘s why it‘s like you are living with a big family. The best thing is the rooftop, there you can chill and have nice chats. I read a lot of bad comments about the shower but now they changed the shower and it‘s really good!! I would totally recommend Gael Hostel to every backpacker who wants a fun, chill, social time!

Been to many hostels in my travelin days. For Mexico City this one is perfect. It was clean, in a cool neighborhood to walk around, and the communal vibe game was strong. Curtains for each bunk bed was a nice touch for privacy. The rooftop deck is the spot to day hang if you don’t feel like venturing out around the city. I’m definitely coming back

Nice rooms, nice price, great location, cool rooftop, always have free coffee. All around great. Small issue was splitting one toilet between 12 other beds.

I like Gael for it's friendly energy, free breakfast, and safe location. A big supermarket is less than 10 mins walk away, many places to eat around the area, staff are friendly. I met many lovely people while stying there.
The bunk beds were creaky/made sounds in both beds I stayed in so bring earplugs.

Great location. Located in Condesa/Hipodromo, you’re a short walk from great food, coffee, bars, and nightlife. Very safe at all hours, including the evening and night. Quick scooter (Bird, Grin, or Lime apps) away from Roma and Juarez barrios. On weekday evenings, the rooftop is a great common area destination to meet the other guests and the friendly staff.

AMAZING STAFF - Jerome, Sun, Shar, Kim and Valentina - will make your experience pleasant and worthwhile. Enjoy timeless banter with Jerome on the rooftop in the evenings; you won’t regret it! They’re very helpful and timely in providing advice on things to do.

The guys were really kind and the hostel is in a really good place, they serve breakfast too. But it's not clean at all, the bathrooms are a little dirty so that wasn't cool...
